Mariska is a free spirit with a "gift" which makes her unique. She usually sees things in peoples futures, and this gift is what brought her to Stuart to begin with. Now the two of them are back on the ranch for a few weeks, and happier than ever. Mariska is loving being on the ranch, and so happy that she gets to help Stuart break a new horse, who she fondly named Jessie. Everything is perfect in their world, until it isn't.Both Stuart and Mariska are stubborn and think they know what is best for them, so when things come to a head, it doesn't end well and it pulls them apart. Watching them find their way back to one another made my heart hurt. I wanted them back together so bad, but I understand they had to do it their way, which in the end, I think made them even stronger than they were apart. Their journey isn't easy, and at times I wanted to yell and scream at both of them, but in the end they was happy for them and how they got their HEA.This book is a definite emotional read that pulled at my heartstrings. I swooned over Stuarts alpha tendencies, his kindness and his love for Mariska. I laughed at how stubborn Mariska is with Stuart, and I cried when things came to a head for these two. Their story is beautifully written and I felt connected to both of them. I felt their happiness, their sadness, and their love for one another. They truly are soul mates and proved that sometimes going through the hardest things, makes a couple even stronger in the end if they are meant to be together.I highly suggest one-clicking this book today if you're looking for an emotional and beautifully written romance. Tia Louise gives us another hot and steamy romance, with Stuart and Mariska at the center of this tale.I love how this author is able to give her characters true personalities and character! She gives even the finest cowboy a heart and soul. She allows the reader to step into the spirited young woman's broken soul. Those feelings are real, hurtful, and not fiction. We become one with Stuart and Mariska during the ride to happiness.I felt a solid connection to this story on many levels. The personal loss brought back my own memories from many years ago. The inclusion of a story dealing with mental health relates to so many people, myself included. While Mariska uses her art to heal, I use books to heal. Someone else's art, just as Mariska becomes a healer as well.I look forward to more healing time with the One to Hold cast, and any other book TL wants to throw my way.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.Sensational Series!!!By Heather CicioWhen I say that I haven't read a book by Tia Louise that I did'nt love, I am not kidding. This entire series is one of my absolute favorites. Each book focuses on two main characters that are sure to win your hearts. And if that wasn't enough, they are full of amazing secondary characters that you already know and love. This book is about Mariska and Stuart. We have read about them before but now we are getting deeper into emotions, sadness and joy, anger and love. But whatever emotion you are feeling at the moment, you will not be disappointed and will come out joyful in the end. I enjoyed getting more of their story and more about them. And as usual, keeping in touch with other characters that I fell in love before. Amazing work Tia!! Love it!!See all 120 customer reviews...
